How personal data is handled
Sfumature d’Italiano is an informational website. It does not process lesson bookings or payments directly: visitors are redirected to italki.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Alessia Castelli, responsible for the Sfumature d’Italiano website. For questions and privacy requests, email contatti@sfumatureditaliano.com.
2. Data and purposes
The hosting provider may process technical data, such as IP addresses, browser information and server requests, to deliver and secure the website (legitimate interests, GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply (pre-contractual steps for lesson enquiries; legitimate interests for other enquiries).
3. Retention and service providers
Emails are retained for as long as needed to reply and deal with any follow-up to the enquiry, except where a legal obligation or the protection of rights requires otherwise. Website hosting and professional email are provided by Aruba S.p.A., which may process browsing data (including IP addresses and server request logs) and communications as part of providing and securing these services. Technical logs are handled by the provider in accordance with the settings and retention criteria applicable to the service, for operational and security purposes. Aruba states that its principal hosting and email services operate in Italian data centres. No additional analytics or tracking providers are embedded in the website pages.
4. Cookies and external links
The pages of this website do not install advertising or profiling cookies, or analytics through scripts. Any essential technical cookies associated with the hosting infrastructure depend on the actual service configuration. Any traffic statistics viewed in the Aruba control panel are provided by the hosting service, with no tracking scripts added to the pages. We do not offer a newsletter. Links to italki lead to an external service: once opened, italki’s own terms and privacy notice apply.
5. Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or object to processing, and exercise data portability rights where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority. To exercise your rights, contact the email address above.
6. Communications
Contacting the studio is optional; without contact details we cannot reply. We do not use automated decision-making or visitor profiling.
